Job Description
We are looking for a Payroll Specialist, who will be responsible for the entire payroll scope of the
Company's staff. She/He will follow and implement all the procedures required, to ensure the
timely and valid payment of the personnel based on the current labor legislation.
Qualifications
- University Degree in Business Administration / Finance / Accounting / Economics
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar position
- Excellent command of the German language
- Very good command of the English language
- Knowledge of the Dutch language would be considered an asset
- Excellent use of Office Suite
- Confidentiality and empathy
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Strong Communication and organization skills
Key Responsibilities
- Registers new employees in the German state database (DATEV) and keeps up to date the internal database.
- Collects and records the employees’ personal data related to the payroll.
- Performs the monthly payroll process and the necessary checks, making sure all results are accurate.
- Monitors and coordinates all the new hirings and stop employees, in the context of labor law.
- Maintains the personnel files up to date.
- Answers questions from both the management team and the staff and gives the necessary explanations regarding payment of salaries.
- Informs about any changes regarding labor low and health insurance. Applies all changes
- in order to protect the company from risks of non-compliance.
- Manages correspondence from the public sector and is related to personnel issues.
- Creates monthly payroll and proof of payments of all staff.
- Manages with discretion and confidentiality salary and personal issues concerning employees, such as benefits, illnesses, etc.
- Reports monthly regarding payroll status.
